The Australia Awards short course “Building the Ecosystem to Support Carbon Market Establishment”, delivered by Curtin University and supported by Aus4Skills, supports the Ministry of Finance (MOF) in building capacity for carbon markets development.
Participants of the short course are 15 key officials from MOF who are directly involved in the development of a policy framework for the mandated carbon market in Vietnam.
The course is built on the success of the inaugural course with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment last year and is part of Australia and Vietnam cooperation in climate change and energy transition.
Mr David Gottlieb, Economic Counsellor, Australian Embassy, delivers his opening remarks to kick off the short training course.
Mr Hoang Thai Son, Director General of Legal Department, Ministry of Finance, delivers his opening remarks.
The training course is among activities central to Australia’s enhanced partnership with Vietnam, in this important milestone year of our 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
