Tetra Tech International Development is looking for a motivated Vocational Education and Training (VET) Officer to play a critical support role to the VET component in the Aus4Skills program and help graduates gain the competencies for working in the desired sectors.

Aus4Skills:
The goal of Aus4Skills is to support Vietnam in accessing and using high-level professional and technical knowledge, skills, and competencies to contribute to the country’s sustainable economic and inclusive development. The program also aims to deepen Vietnamese and Australian people-to-people and institutional links, thereby strengthening the partnership between the two countries. Aus4Skills is managed by Tetra Tech International Development on behalf of Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).
Key responsibilities:
- Assist with the planning and delivery of VET activities, providing administrative, financial, and logistical support, including travel arrangements and meeting venues. Identify areas for improvement where relevant.
- Support Australian delivery partners to ensure VET training activities are delivered in accordance with contractual requirements and within the Government of Vietnam context, systems, and ways of working.
- Assist with monitoring expenditure and commitments, including bookkeeping, reporting, procurement implementation, and identifying variances between approved budgets and actual expenditures. Indicate areas for improvement where relevant.
- Provide logistical support to international and national long-term and short-term advisors with the implementation of their tasks.
- Contribute to the identification and development of opportunities for strategic communication products, including social and traditional media outputs.
- Ensure gender equality, disability, and social inclusion considerations are promoted and mainstreamed into VET activities.
Selection criteria:
- Relevant undergraduate tertiary qualifications or professional experience equivalent (preferably in Business Administration, Communication, or Development/Social Studies).
- At least two years of experience in projects, human resource development, or education administration in an international context.
- Professional experience supporting the planning and delivery of events, including short courses, workshops, conferences, and seminars in Vietnam and Australia.
- Good interpersonal and oral and written communication skills in Vietnamese and English.
- Strong computer skills, including the ability to use databases, create presentations, and learn customized programs designed for supporting networks of people.
- Knowledge of Vietnam’s education, VET sector and/or development and international engagement priorities and communication/social media is an advantage.
